Echo privacy policy
The short version: Echo itself collects nothing about you, and your progress stays on your phone. Echo shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device data to show them.

Echo is a puzzle game for Android made by DevRocks, a sole proprietorship in India. Questions about this page go to devrocksapps@gmail.com.
1. What we collect
Nothing. Echo has no accounts, no analytics of its own and no in-app purchases. We, DevRocks, receive no data about you. The only data that leaves your phone is what the Google ads SDK sends to Google, described in section 2.
2. Ads
Echo shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner along the bottom of the home screen, a full-screen ad now and then when you move on to the next level (never during the first world and never in the middle of a puzzle), and optional videos you can choose to watch for an extra hint, to skip a level or to keep a Daily Loop streak. To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects your device's advertising ID, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about ad interactions and app performance (for example crashes). Google handles this data under its own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Through AdMob mediation, some of these ads may come from Unity Ads (Unity Technologies), which receives the same kind of device and ad interaction data to show and measure its ads: Unity privacy policy.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Echo asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. Anywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads).
3. What is kept on your phone
So that you don't lose your place, Echo saves the following in its own private storage on your device:
- Progress
- Which levels are unlocked, stars, best tick counts, achievements and your Daily Loop streak.
- Settings
- Music, sound, vibration and control preferences, and which tips you have already seen.
- Levels you make
- Your work in the level editor.
None of it identifies you, and none of it is sent anywhere. To remove it, use Settings → Reset progress in the game, or uninstall Echo, which deletes everything it stored.
4. Sharing a level
When you share a level from the editor, Echo copies a text code to your clipboard and you decide where to paste it. The code holds only the level's layout and a solution — nothing about you or your device.
5. Permissions
- Vibration
- For short haptic feedback while you play. You can turn it off in Settings.
- Internet and network state
- Used only by the Google ads SDK to load ads. The game itself works offline.
- Advertising ID
- Added by the Google ads SDK to show and measure ads (see section 2).
6. Children
Echo is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
7. Grievances
Complaints and questions about privacy go to the Grievance Officer, Suba R, DevRocks, at devrocksapps@gmail.com. We reply within 7 days. See Contact.
8. Changes to this policy
If a future version of Echo changes any of the above — for example by adding online leaderboards — this page will be updated before that version is released, with a new date at the top.
