Screw Sort privacy policy

The short version: Screw Sort itself collects nothing about you, and your progress stays on your phone. Screw Sort shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device data to show them.

Screw Sort: Nuts & Bolts is a puzzle game for Android made by DevRocks, a sole proprietorship in India. Questions about this page go to devrocksapps@gmail.com.

1. What we collect

Nothing. Screw Sort has no accounts, no analytics of its own and no in-app purchases. We, DevRocks, receive no data about you. The only data that leaves your phone is what the Google ads SDK sends to Google, described in section 2.

2. Ads

Screw Sort shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner along the bottom of the home screen, a full-screen ad now and then when you move on to the next level (never in the first seven levels and never in the middle of a level), and optional videos you can choose to watch for a booster, double coins, a doubled daily gift or free coins. To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects your device's advertising ID, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about ad interactions and app performance (for example crashes). Google handles this data under its own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Screw Sort asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. Anywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads).

3. What is kept on your phone

So that you don't lose your place, Screw Sort saves the following in its own private storage on your device:

Progress
Your current level, coins, boosters, the world chests you have opened, your daily gift streak, and how many free-coin videos you watched today.
Settings
Sound and vibration.

None of it identifies you, and none of it is sent anywhere. To remove it, clear Screw Sort's storage in your phone's settings (Settings → Apps → Screw Sort → Storage → Clear storage) or uninstall the game, which deletes everything it stored.

4. Permissions

Vibration
For short haptic feedback when a bolt is finished. You can turn it off in Settings.
Internet and network state
Used only by the Google ads SDK to load ads. The game itself works offline.
Advertising ID
Added by the Google ads SDK to show and measure ads (see section 2).

5. Children

Screw Sort is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.

6. Grievances

Complaints and questions about privacy go to the Grievance Officer, Suba R, DevRocks, at devrocksapps@gmail.com. We reply within 7 days. See Contact.

7. Changes to this policy

If a future version of Screw Sort changes any of the above, for example by adding in-app purchases or online features, this page will be updated before that version is released, with a new date at the top.
