Terms of Service
For PartyBook, provided by DevRocks.
Last updated 12 September 2026
1. Who this is between
These terms are between DevRocks, a sole proprietorship in India (“we”), and the business that holds a PartyBook account (“you”). Using the app means accepting them.
2. What we provide
PartyBook, order booking and billing software for catering businesses, together with the hosted service behind it. We create your hotel, its branches and your first administrator account; you manage your own staff, menu and records after that.
3. Accounts, and who is responsible for them
- Accounts are issued by us. There is no self-service sign-up.
- You are responsible for who you give accounts to, for what they do with them, and for the PINs and the branch cancellation code you hand out.
- An administrator can add, remove and restore staff accounts and issue a new PIN. Removing an account stops it signing in; the record of orders it took stays, as it must.
- Keep at least two administrators. A hotel's only administrator cannot be reset from inside the app — that lockout has to come through us.
4. Your data, and your customers' data
The records you enter remain yours. We hold them to run the service and do not use them for anything else — see the Privacy Policy.
PartyBook stores your customers' names, phone numbers and delivery addresses because you type them in. You are responsible for collecting and holding those details lawfully — for telling your customers what you keep, if asked, and for having a proper reason to keep it. We act on your instructions in respect of that data.
5. Fees
As set out on the pricing page: per branch, per year, prepaid. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email; a change never applies to a year you have already paid for.
If a renewal is not paid, a branch enters a grace period and is then suspended. Suspension stops new bookings; it does not delete anything, and paying restores access.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use PartyBook for anything unlawful;
- resell or sublicense access, or share one branch's subscription across branches that should each hold one;
- attempt to reach another hotel's records, or to work around the role and access rules;
- automate access in a way that loads the service beyond ordinary app use.
7. What we do and do not promise
We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, to keep daily backups, and to fix faults promptly.
We do not promise uninterrupted service or that no data will ever be lost. The service is provided as-is. DevRocks is one person, and the hosting is Google's rather than ours.
PartyBook is a record of orders, not an accounting or tax filing system, and nothing in it is financial or legal advice. Check your own figures.
8. Billing, taxes and what the hotel is responsible for
Hotels are solely responsible for pricing, GST compliance, tax calculations, invoicing, accounting records, and statutory filings. PartyBook is a quotation and order booking software and does not provide tax or accounting services.
PartyBook is an order booking and quotation management application for hotels and catering businesses.
PartyBook does not process payments from your customers, calculate tax, collect or remit tax, maintain books of account, produce financial statements, or provide tax or legal advice.
You are solely responsible for:
- Setting the prices you charge.
- Deciding whether GST or any other tax applies to a job, and at what rate.
- Calculating, collecting and remitting it.
- Issuing GST-compliant invoices or receipts where required.
- Maintaining your accounting records and complying with applicable tax and business laws.
- Fulfilling the food, catering and event services you have promised your customers.
Documents generated by PartyBook are not GST tax invoices. They carry no GSTIN and no HSN or SAC code, and are intended for booking management only. If you need to add tax to a bill, add it as a charge line at the rate that is correct for you, and issue the tax invoice itself through your own accountant.
9. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to PartyBook is limited to the fees you paid us for the branch concerned in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit, lost business, or indirect losses.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Ending it
- You can stop any time. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- We may suspend an account for non-payment, or for a breach of section 6. Except where a breach is serious, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
- On request we will delete your hotel and its records. Ask from an administrator's address; we will confirm first, because it cannot be undone.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes come with at least 30 days' notice by email, and the date at the top changes.
12. Data protection
Where PartyBook holds personal data about your own customers, you are the Data Fiduciary and we are your Data Processor under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. That means:
- we process that data only to provide the service, and on your instructions;
- we do not use it for our own purposes, and never to advertise;
- we keep it secure by the measures described in the Privacy Policy;
- we tell you without undue delay if it is exposed or lost, and notify the Data Protection Board of India;
- we delete it when you close your account or ask us to — see Delete account;
- we will help you answer a request from one of your own customers, though the decision is yours to make.
For your own staff accounts we are the Data Fiduciary, and the Privacy Policy sets out the rights you have over that data.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
